Sophie von Hellermann (b. 1975 in Munich, Germany, lives and works between London and Margate, UK) is a Professor of Painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. Von Hellermann is known for her dreamy, evocative paintings that blend reality and fantasy. Her works feature loose brushwork, an ethereal color palette, and narrative ambiguity. She often portrays scenes that are both familiar and surreal, inviting audiences into a world dominated by imagination.
